What Does Obesimed® Do?

Obesimed^® is a medical device for treating mildly to extremely overweight adults and children from 10 years of age.

Using Obesimed^® may help prevent excessive eating behaviour, supports balanced eating habits and leads to considerable weight loss.

The active ingredient in Obesimed^® absorbs large quantities of water and forms a natural substance filling the stomach. This produces a full feeling contributing to satisfaction during the meal and the period afterwards. Obesimed^® reduces the speed at which the food leaves the stomach by forming a viscous yellow matrix. It promotes satisfaction in the stomach thus preventing extreme overweight and encouraging other eating habits.

The substance may also help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels and bowel habits. The active ingredient in Obesimed^® is a natural fibre that is not absorbed and digested by the body. Obesimed^® is a class IIa medical device.

Ingredients 

The product is based on vegetable ingredients: OMTEC 19®, Amylum Solani, Hypromelllose (E464), Oleum Helianthus, Titanium Dioxide (E171).

Directions for Use

Obesimed^® must not be used for longer than 30 days in one treatment period. After 4 days treatment can be resumed. The capsule must be swallowed in whole. While reducing weight with Obesimed^®, supplement your diet with the recommended daily allowance of vitamins and mineral preparations.

Adults
3 x daily 2 capsules with 2 large glasses of water (±500 ml) 1 hour before meals. 

Children 10 years and older
2 - 3 x daily 2 capsules with 2 large glasses of water (±500 ml) 1 hour before meals. Do not exceed daily dosage.

General Recommendations

Caution

Allergens
This product contains no allergens.
The product is suitable for vegetarians.

Use during pregnancy or breast feeding
It is inadvisable to lose weight while pregnant or breast feeding as possibly harmful substances may be released from fatty tissues and be absorbed by the child. Using Obesimed^® is therefore not recommended.

Usage in combination with other drugs
Obesimed^® lowers blood glucose levels. Usage in combination with other diet supplements/medicines that achieve a comparable hypoglycemic effect is therefore not recommended. Oral medication must be taken either 1 hour before or 4 hours after taking Obesimed^®.

Warnings 
Obesimed^® must not be taken if oversensitive to one or more of the ingredients. 
Do not open the capsule before using.
Keep out of reach of small children.
Children should take Obesimed^® only under strict adult and medical supervision.
Do NOT exceed the Stated Dose. 
Store in a cool dry place. 
Always consult your GP before taking Obesimed, especially if you have an existing medical condition or are taking medication. 
You should not take supplements as a substitute for a varied balanced diet.

Possible side effects
Obesimed^® is well tolerated and has few side effects. Mild stomach and intestinal complaints may arise, such as slight diarrhea, reflux and gas. These side effects usually disappear after a few days. Consult your physician if complaints last longer than 3 days.
